Sisters Starry Nights Benefit Concert Series Saturday, April 26

Central Oregon Blue & Crawfish Festival Thurs.-Sat. July 3-5
AMP Media Group in partnership with 98.3 The Twins, CLEAR 101.7, BendBroadband and The Source magazine bring you the First Annual Central Oregon Blues and Crawfish Festival July 3,4,5th at Creekside Park in Sisters, Oregon. Opening the Festival on Thursday will be John Lee Hooker, JR., Kenny Neal Friday Night and the Ty Curtis Band on Saturday. These shows begin at 8:30pm. Other artists include, Big Fish, Stephanie Slade, Joe Leonardi, Jon MacLennan, T- Bone Stone, Lisa Mann, Blue Moon Society, Keegan Smith and Zsa Zsa. The festival will feature Cajun cooking from red beans and rice, shrimp creole, jambalaya and of course fresh crawfish with corn on the cob and potatoes, kids can enjoy ice cream and cotton candy ……Wild Fire Brewery will be the brew masters and Cork Cellars will be supplying the wine.Tickets are $20 a day or a 3-day pass for $50. This show is quickly becoming one of the largest events on the West Coast where bamboo rods are featured in a user friendly manner. Country Fair and Art Show Friday – Saturday, August 8-9
The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration will hold its 13th annual Country Fair and Art Show on Saturday, August 9th from 10 am to 3 pm. The Art Show begins one day earlier, opening on Friday evening, August 8th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Fairgoers will enjoy a day of old-fashioned fun that includes face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, cake walk and entertainment for the whole family. Located 1/8th mile west of Sisters on the old McKenzie Highway, the lovely tree shaded church grounds provide the perfect setting to enjoy picnic treats prepared on the grill and topped off with famous marionberry cobbler. Preserves will be on sale at the Country Store. Admission and parking are free. The Art Show will be held in the church's Community Hall and will showcase more than 50 regional artists. All proceeds go directly to community support agencies such as Family Access Network, Habitat for Humanity, SOAR and etc. This event has generated more than $75,000 for community outreach.
