County Fair & Art Show Aug. 8-9

The Episcopal Church of the Transfiguration will hold its 13th annual Country Fair and Art Show on Saturday, August 9th from 10 am to 3 pm. The Art Show begins one day earlier, opening on Friday evening, August 8th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Fairgoers will enjoy a day of old-fashioned fun that includes face painting, a petting zoo, pony rides, cake walk and entertainment for the whole family. Located 1/8th mile west of Sisters on the old McKenzie Highway, the lovely tree shaded church grounds provide the perfect setting to enjoy picnic treats prepared on the grill and topped off with famous marionberry cobbler. Preserves will be on sale at the Country Store. Admission and parking are free. The Art Show will be held in the church's Community Hall and will showcase more than 50 regional artists. All proceeds go directly to community support agencies such as Family Access Network, habitat for Humanity, SOAR and etc. This event has generated more than $75,000 for community outreach.
